Is it necessary to be so nasty?
Already the Tories have put out a video that has been doctored to show Keir Starmer being reduced to silence by a question about Brexit. What actually happened is that he gave the usual, complicated, not very convincing party-line answer. As the questioner, Piers Morgan, said the Tories didn't need to resort to falsification to have fun with the interview.
Also the PM has given a speech in which he compared Labour's dislike of the profit motive to Stalin's persecution of the kulaks. I mean, really...
I'm sure there's worse to come.
How long before this kind of thing starts alienating more people than it pleases?
