Dulse
I have a packet of dried seaweed on the table beside me- dulse- and every so often I'll dip into it. Ailz says it's what her mother- growing up in Northern Ireland- ate instead of sweets.
Dulse is very salty- salty as the dust at the bottom of a bag of crisps- but there's a sweetness in there somewhere, masked by the salt but not entirely hidden- the kind of sweetness you get from chewing a stalk of meadow grass. I think I like it...

Sounds delicious to me. I eat nori as a snack when I can get it.
