poliphiloI discovered the other day that our car's built-in satnav registers height as well as distance- and watched the figure rise and fall and rise again as we bounced along the hilly stretch of country road between the Kippings Cross roundabout and home. I now know that our garage is precisely 407 feet above sea level.
Which is much higher than I'd have guessed.
