Odi and family are having a weeks holiday, staying in a caravan at Camber Sands (next to Rye Harbour)- and we'll be driving down this morning with the car full of food and hand towels and washing up liquid.

Odi texts to say the kids would like a football. No problem. We have footballs. I pick one up and add it to the cargo.

Fabrizio rings shortly afterwards to ask if we're nearly there yet.

"Erm," no," says Ailz" we're still waiting for some of your Mum's stuff to be delivered."

Sainsbury's van shows up. Much of the order is for Odi. Does she really need four big boxes of nasty sugary cereal? I suppose she must. Lord, but these kids eat some junk!

"I hope there's going to be room for us in the car," says Ailz.

"I'm not sure there's going to be room for me," I say.

"You can go in the back with the wheelchair."

"Are we going to sort through this lot now or have a cup of tea?

"Cup of tea."

We sit down. "I know why Fabrizio is so keen to see us," says Ailz. "We've got his breakfast."
