Goodbye Patch

We have no horses at the moment. Patch, the docile old cob who wintered with us, has gone. We saw him being taken away. And the fields have space to recover from the hammering he gave them. I think they need this respite. It's only a couple of days but already the new grass is reaching higher than Patch would have permitted.

I don't know whether other horses are in the offing. Chris and Chris are secretive people and I don't like to bother them. Last time I asked the younger one what his plans were he was evasive because I don't think he knew himself.
