Nocturnal Visitor

I forget exactly when it was- perhaps six months ago- we had an incident where my mother thought I was in her bedroom when I wasn't. It happened again last night. I heard her say my name- not calling me but speaking as though I were in the room with her- so I went in, and turned on the light. "There was someone standing there," she said, "Was it you?" "No," I said, "But it is now." This seemed to satisfy her- and she settled back to to sleep.
