hmm... this test seems very male-oriented. in my opinion, agreeing that "I am on guard all the time" and "I constantly fear being taken adavntage of" is a lot different for a man and for a women.

I AM on guard all the time when walking around, but that's not a sign of a personality disorder, it's a sign that i recognize that as a petite woman, i need to be a lot more careful when walking around than a man does, generally.

same thing with being "taken advantage of". that's a euphemism that can be interpreted in many different ways, it's not clear what one would be fearing from how this question is presented. taken advantage of financially? sexually? emotionally? i imagine that men are more likely to interpret it in a financial sense, and women in a sexual sense. yet, this is more of a valid fear for most women.

the test asks at the beginning for your gender. do you think they are controlling for the orientation of the test?

You raise an interesting question.

The fact that they ask for gender at the beginning does rather suggest that they adjust accordingly. I hope they do.

"Taken advantage of"- I suppose I interpreted this mainly in emotional terms. What I fear- to the point of paranoia- is that I will be enlisted or co-opted into some venture of a corporate nature- or that someone else is controlling- and that my independence and integrity will be taken away.
