I dream that I'm watching a cult TV show from the 60s, starring Michael Caine as Sidley- the detective who takes cases no-one else will touch. Women throw knives at one another across a central London street, a half-naked man who is impersonating Sidley jumps from a multi-storey car park, gets his busby caught on some snag or other and is catapulted into space when the chinstrap stretches and rebounds and Sidley, waiting in a bus queue, has an electric razor delivered to him because he hasn't shaved for a couple of hours and needs to feel "smooth".
