poliphiloTwo loud bangs- percussive- apparently very close to the house. I looked around and couldn't see a cause and assumed I was hearing Matthew throwing logs into the flat bed of his truck- but I wasn't convinced...
A little later I was taking things out to the garage and found that the fridge we keep out there was open and the floor covered in water and lumps of ice. A couple of 2 litre bottles of carbonated water had frozen solid and exploded.
