Lost Dog

Peter showed up this morning with a black Labrador in his van. He'd found it holding up traffic on the road about fifty yards from our front gate. He and I took it to the vets' practice in Paddock Wood where they scanned it but couldn't find a chip. They took it off our hands and the RSPCA or the dog pound will take it off theirs. Big healthy animal, well groomed, obedient, no ID. Lost or dumped? Probably the latter.

I don't suppose we'll ever know....

I'm so happy he was found and taken before he got hit. I cannot fathom people who will dump animals onto a road rather than turn them in to an SPCA.

I suppose a lot of people are ashamed to admit that they've failed with an animal.

Poor lad, I'm glad he's safe and likely to find a new home.
