Boxes

Boxes.

So many boxes.

That's one of the drawbacks of buying from Amazon and other online retailers.

I suppose high street retail involves boxes too but surely not so many.

I recycle as many as I can. I reuse those I can (and always try to keep a stock of smaller ones in the garage for putting birthday and Christmas presents in) but I'm afraid an awful lot of them end up on the bonfire. I just did a big burn. It's such a waste.

The local authority here recycles cardboard which helps.

I suppose the ashes from the bonfire will at least enrich the soil... so not a total waste.

Ashes have an important place in the ecology of the soil. Especially if you grow plants that like alkaline soils!
