One of our drains was blocked- and it was time anyway for the cess pool to be emptied- so the man came out.

He told me they had a schools competition to name the tanker and the winner was a little lad in Eccles.

But which Eccles?

I didn't ask. At the time I assumed he meant the one in Greater Manchester, but on reflection I think he must have meant the village outside Aylesford.
