Very Like a whale...



Part of this cloud formation- if not all of it- is made of expanded vapour trails. Before the invention of powered flight no-one would have seen anything quite like it and once our current aviation technology becomes obsolete- which I expect to happen very soon- no-one will see anything quite like it again. We live in the very brief period of historic time when such sights are possible.

That's an interesting way of looking at it. I never thought about it that way, that we will eventually move past contrail-producing engines.
