Tree Stump

As soon as I saw it I thought of Breughel's tower of Babel...



We're just outside the Pinetum here, in the area more properly known as Bedgebury Forest.

They say Breughel was inspired by the Colosseum- and I'm sure he was- but perhaps he was also thinking of tree stumps.
