Afternoon TV

I switch the TV on for my mother. It's one of those shows where people with lots of money are escorted round houses they might want to buy.

"My Mother: "We're not buying a house, so why....?"

I couldn't agree more. I feel much the same way about all the foodie shows that clog up the schedules. I'm not going to eat the meal so why should I want to watch people making it?

So I switch channels and my mother goes "Oh!" as she usually does. This'll do. It's a wildlife show. The schedules are clogged up with them as well but at least they're pretty.

My Mother: "What are we watching now?"

Me: "Lions having sex."

She laughs.

When we're stressed we search out wildlife shows on Netflix. Preferably ones narrated by David Attenborough, but Paul McGann and Bernard Hill will also do.

Attenborough is still making them in spite of his advanced years. Remarkable man!
