Another Resolution

Another resolution- though I doubt I'll be able to keep it: not to talk politics- except in the most general terms- and especially not to be tempted into forecasting future events.

So, I have a question. How much tea do Britishers actually drink? Every show I watch on TV, even British ones, feature tea - especially when someone comes to visit. Sort of like life was in the US in the 60's (but no longer) with coffee.

With some of us- a lot! :o)

I'd say I get through six or seven mugs a day.

That's probably typical.

Speak for yourself! I still drink coffee at the rate the most hardcore Englishman would drink tea.

Around 5 mugs a day. Drinking tea is very much a thing, especially with older people.

But ... isn't making a resolution itself an indirect way of forecasting future events?

(Sorry ... couldn't resist. :-)

In a way, yes....

And if enough people make the same resolution things happen...
