Well, perhaps she does, but I don't think we need reach for the bottle to explain why a woman nearing seventy might wilt after standing in the sun for an hour and a half and sometimes have trouble with stairs. Would you expect your granny- or your grandpa- to submit themselves to the merciless treadmill of a US election campaign? Of course not. You'd be afraid of it killing them.
I'm a couple of years younger that Clinton and four years younger than Donald Trump- and I really don't know how they keep going at the pace they do.
Why do they do it to themselves? I can only think it's because power and fame are addictions and they can't stop themselves wanting more. They're like gamblers stood in front of a whizzing, whirring, flash-bulb popping fruit machine. Just one more pull of the lever. Just one more...
