Fiction And Cricket

poliphiloIt's been a year or so since I wrote any fiction. I love my LJ, but there's one thing you don't get to do in this sort of essay/diary writing and that's compose dialogue. And dialogue is such terrific fun.
So I'm taking out one of my old novels and I'm rewriting it. It's my favourite novel but the plot is crap. My plan is to keep a lot of what's already there, but hang it on a different framework.
On a completely different topic:- I know most of you won't know what I'm talking about, but England just beat Australia in the Second Test by three runs! It was the most extraordinary finish to an extraordinary game and it's made me a very happy bunny.
