A Pension

The Church of England wants to pay me a pension. I thought they might. I feel a little odd about it- but I paid my money into the pot when I was in their employment and I reckon I've every right to take it out again now-  and- on the whole- for all the thrashing about I've done- I don't believe I've ever been an enemy of true religion.

As you say- it's your money not theirs so take it!

This is a fellow ex Anglican telling you so! :o)

Ten years I worked for them- it's not negligible.

Yes, it'll be nice to have that extra source of income.

Quite- I get a pension from my twenty years in the classroom and as you say..........

Surely it's not an issue. They're not paying you for your belief but for your work and time.

Render unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar and render unto God what belongs to God.

But if you take it out too early Caesar will grab a whole big chunk :)

I don't see that religion comes into it. They employed you. It's your money.
