Holding A Grudge

It's been weeks now since the thing was said- and I've been fuming ever since. Well, off and on. One can't fume all the time without doing oneself an internal injury. I've been thinking of writing something thunderous here- but holding off- because the damage would be incalculable- and now it's getting so I have to prod my memory to remind myself what it was that made me so cross in the first place.

Time to let the whole business drop?

Yes, High time.

Maybe.

Or sometimes time to take a notepad.

You write it down and thereby you've externalised it. Then you can move on.

Way to go! Grudgers only hurt themselves.

That's right.

Is there any way you can very pointedly have minimal dealings with them, and when you must do, make it clear through looks and silence that they are in the doghouse? Because it sounds like you want to make them very aware that they've screwed up, and you're not a pushover. I don't think a little froideur would be outrageous. And it's better than feeling powerless and fuming.

It helps that we now live an opposite ends of the country.

I've counted to several hundred thousand on this one....
