I Opened a Bottle Of Wine So We Could Drink To Corbyn's Victory

British politics just changed- profoundly.

Corbyn, c'est moi. I can't think- offhand- of anything he stands for that I don't stand for too.

Labour is now genuinely a party of the left. I hope that the Blairites in the parliamentary party will accordingly adjust their views or fuck off out of it. The result- an overwhelming victory for Corbyn- should have convinced them that no-one loves them any more.

As for the Tories, they are going to have to adjust to being attacked from a position that is securely left-wing and moral. They're not used to this and it'll be "interesting" to see how they cope.

The right-wing media are going to be merciless and unfair and unkind in their opposition to Corbyn. Grit your teeth, folks, the Mail is set to become even mailier...

I thrust my fist in joy when i heard the news. At last a man of principle leading the party.

Did you see the clip of Corbyn at the rally for the refugees, standing behind Billy Bragg as he sang The Red Flag? It did my heart good.

"Blairites adjust their views or fuck off out of it"

Nice to see tolerance coming to the fore there.

Yeah well, I don't have a lot of tolerance for the New Labour crowd. I think they've divorced the party from its roots.

I just heard the news on the radio. My parents are happy! I hope it is all the political sea-change you desire.

"I hope it is all the political sea-change you desire."

So do I. My fear is Corbyn is going to get stamped into the earth by the vested interests he'll be challenging.

Then come on in and work for the party. They could use your skills.
