Long Day

Ailz had to go into hospital today for a minor operation on her hand. We delivered her to the hospital at 7.30 ish- and brought her home 12 hours later.

Thank you to Jenny and Kirsty for being there.

As it happens I've been reading about psychological time and how it differs from clock time- and moves fast when you're mentally occupied and slow when you're just sitting around waiting.

Today has been a long day.

The longest hours in the world that I know about, you just lived. Sympathy.

Thanks.

But she's home now, a little wobbly from the anaesthetic but otherwise fine.

Oh, goodness, it sounds it. I'm glad everyone is safely home now.

Thanks.

Ailz is doing very well. She has this huge pot on her arm but finds it useful for resting her kindle on.

You're very welcome. I do hope Ailz is doing well today. I was a long day of anxious waiting, to be sure! Jenny x

She's doing very nicely. Tired though....

Your comment about the passing of time certainly rings true. When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I had to get to the hospital for 7.30am - as did everyone who was having surgery in that session. It turns out I was first to arrive and last to be operated on.

Hope the results of the op are positive for Ailz and that she makes a swift recovery.

Thanks.

I do wonder why they have to call you in at 7.30 when they're not actually going to be getting round to your case till mid afternoon but I expect there are reasons for it.

Einstein explained relativity by saying that a minute sat on an ice block could seem like an hour, and an hour say with a pretty girl on your lap could pass like a minute.

Glad to hear everything is okay.

Thanks.

Clever dude, that Einstein.
