17th Century Angel

I collect angels. Here's one from a late 17th century monument in St Giles, Maisemore- just outside Gloucester.

Beautiful! And yes, an angel with late 17th century hair!

I had to move a candlestick to get a good look at him/her. Churches can be very neglectful of their treasures.

Have you seen any of the angel roofs in Lincolnshire?

Not really. Lincolnshire is a county I hardly know.

If you're an angel freak, you really must visit some time!

St Johns, Pinchbeck, for example

Ooh, shiny!

It's my ambition to visit every part of the UK- and Lincolnshire has to be high on my list of those I've not got round to yet.

She's a lovely one! Where was the carving located? On an altar, a tomb or...?

It's part of a memorial tablet.
