The chapter house door in Rochester survived I know not how when you consider the damage done to the west front!

I expect the guys with the hammers didn't always have local knowledge-and may have missed the odd statue here and there. Again, they may have got tired or run out of time.

I seem to remember reading somewhere about statues being spared after the godly iconoclast fell off his ladder.
