Imagine...

Imagine a world in which intellectual honesty was the most prized virtue and people felt bound to qualify even their most confident assertions.

For example...

"Allahu Akhbar- or so we've been told."

"God, supposing he exists, is with us."

"There is no alternative- except, of course, for the one being put forward by my opponents."

There'd be a lot less killing, I think.

I'd settle for a world in which intellectual honesty was the norm and not the exception. Or is that too cynical?

Not cynical, simply realistic.

I wish you'd actually run for PM.

The world would be a nicer place.

Ha!

But I'd be such a pushover.

I think I'd prefer tolerance of other opinions over diffidence.

No, I'm sticking to my guns. Opinions are the devil.

That would be marvellous!

I think we could get there, eventually- but we have a lot of evolving to do first.

I would like this kind of world I think.

It'd be good.

Yes, please :)
