Winding Up The Festivities

Ailz thinks the critters in the attic may be pigeons. They work to the sun. We hear them going to bed at night and getting up very early in the morning. That doesn't sound like rats, does it?

No matter, whatever they are- rats, mice, pigeons- the cat we've got coming will keep them in their place. Ailz was buying stuff from Littlewoods and Argos this morning- a cat bed, a litter box, a bag of litter- and so on.

Mike and Su-Young are coming to lunch today and Ailz is baking an enormous pie. This is the last of our seasonal dates. After today the Christmas tree will be coming down and I'll be sizing up 2015 and seeing whether I like the cut of its jib.

If you haven't tried it, that new silica litter is THE BEST EVER stuff. Lasts a month with 2 cats, really keeps any smell to almost non-existent.

Pigeons are intelligent, though. It's the only bird and one of the very few animals that can recognise its own reflection.
