Round And Round In Circles

A heavy frost, The grass had a satisfying crunch to it when I went out to feed the birds.

The bird feeder is still visible from the dining room windows- it's three quarters of the way across the lawn- but not to my mother who keeps complaining about it being gone. I explain about the rats and she agrees we're right to have moved it and then almost immediately forgets what we've been talking about and starts up again with the kvetching. I'm not going to tell her to shut up but I very much wish she would.

No crunchy grass here either and I grew up with crunchy grass.
It really is hard to hear people with short term memory loss repeat the same things over and over and over....remembering my own mum.

I know she can't help it, but that doesn't stop it from being annoying. Also there's a tone of outraged incomprehension she slips into sometimes that really grates.
