Bits And Pieces

We weren't sure the fridge freezer would survive the journey but it did. We have it plugged in in the garage. It gives us extra storage.

When Matthew demolished the greenhouse he left a live wire dangling from the garage roof onto the garden path. Kirstie's husband came over with her this morning and removed it for us. He and I discussed battlefields; he's been to Arnhem but I've been to Paschendaele. The garden is now childproof which is good because we expect great nephews over Christmas.

I finally got the bonfire to burn.

We put the bed on Freecycle and a father and son just took it away.

For me a bonfire is one of life's great pleasures.

Me too. I should burn something down.

Freezers are massive energy hogs. If possible, leave it unplugged until you actually need to store things in it.

But it's full- full to bursting...
