Eye Tests

We had our eyes tested at SpecSavers in Tonbridge. They were more thorough than I'm used to and there were games I haven't played before- like watch the hot air balloon and press the button when you see the squiggle. It turns out I have yellowing of the retina which is an early sign of cataract. I'm getting two new pairs of glasses, both with reactolite lenses- one with blue frames and one with grass-green frames.

That's obviously a bit depressing about the retina, but it seems better to have found out now than later. Will the reactolite lenses help to slow down the development of an actual cataract, or are you just getting those anyway?

I don't know. cataracts are helped along by UVF light so I suppose the reactolite lenses will slow things down.

I should do that. I haven't been in years.

We've been going every couple of years. It seems to come round awfully fast.
