It says in the Michael Teachings- which I've been ransacking for esoteric information- that the devas (nature spirits) are moving away from planet Earth and handing over responsibility for the environment to us humans- because we're now, supposedly, mature enough as a species to be up to the job. I'd say our report card, thus far, was distinctly spotty.

There was a report came out the other day that we'd lost 50% of our wildlife over the past 40 years. I don't know if I believe it (I mean how do you measure such things?) but it didn't make me happy.
