Distant Lightning

The storms missed us- but I was standing out on the lawn yesterday evening- under the stars- watching the southern sky turn white every few seconds. I listened attentively but I couldn't hear the thunder.

There were storms? I was quite worried, given I always keep a close eye on the weather, but I'd concluded the forecasts were weak enough on the chances that I had nothing to worry about. (Except Southern's performance on Friday afternoon. *AHEM* And they're claiming a 1h15 delay's worth maybe half the ticket back? Oh, fark that. I can't ask the sun to stay up and the buns to remain out for Southern's sake)

It's been very heavy and thunderous for days in the Tonbridge area but the actual storms have always been somewhere else.
