One of my favourites and that spire is so distinctive.

Tallest in England- I think. At least it was in the Middle-ages.

I'm enjoying your holiday. A few years ago, a view of Salisbury Cathedral, with a field of cows in the foreground, won a competition for the loveliest view in Britain, or some such.

The weather is being good to you, too.

It's Thursday afternoon and it's just started to rain
but the first few days we had wonderful weather.

Fabulous building although you only really get the idea of the height of that spire from a distance.

Just imagine if you were a medieval peasant and you'd never seen a tall building before!

So is Salisbury Steak a real thing or just something that American diners made up?

I've never heard of it!

I've never heard of it. Salisbury, Wiltshire isn't cattle country.

But there are other Salisburys. There's one in Zimbabwe for starters.
