The Dorset Coast
Jun. 25th, 2014 07:56 amI bought a CD of local pagan folk rock group The Dolmen in a charity shop in Wareham. I had to have it because there was a picture of one of them dressed up as the horned god on the front. "Good choice," said another shopper- who knows them from the renenactment circuit. We banged our heads to them all the way through the Purbeck Hills. .
Lulworth Cove is heavily commercialized and Weymouth sands look just as they did when Constable painted them. Earlier we were at Mudeford Bay. The Dorset coast is only a hundred miles west of places we're familiar with- like Hastings and Eastbourne- but feels like it could be a thousand miles to the south.
