"You two should be outside, enjoying the sun," said my mother- just as she used to do when I was a stroppy kid. I pointed out that it was still February and actually quite cold, but went anyway and was rewarded with the sight of the complete arc of a rainbow.

Yeah. We used to get that here too. Which is why Aussies my age spend more time getting skin cancers removed than we spend at the beach.

I would love to be outside enjoying the sun, but we haven't seen any sun to speak of since before Christmas. Today is brighter though and in fact the sun has just come out, so perhaps I'll take your mother's advice? :)
