Old Map

Look. Here's a map of 16th century Paris. http://www.paris.org/Maps/Map6/map.cgi/h633?9+12

You can see every house and every tree. I don't suppose it's particularly accurate, but what fun! You could spend hours and hours exploring these vanished streets.

I love those old city maps, kind of funny, though that we use that same cartographic style for tourist's souveneir maps now. Though I guess, really, that's who would have made use of that map, probably.

Yeah, that's a point. Who was it made for?

I wish I knew, I used to have a huge interest in antique maps.
