Holiday Fun

We got a lie-in yesterday morning, something we never do at my mother's. After breakfast we drove to the hospital to get some blood samples taken. We sat in the waiting room for an hour watching Homes Under The Hammer.

In the afternoon we took Dot to the Co-op in Lees so she could spend the vouchers they gave her for buying a couple of funerals.

Vouchers for funerals? Why does that sound so bizarre to me?

Sounds bizarre to me too. But that's how the Co-op works.

Sounds weird and a bit creepy

Yes!

I now have this image of popping into the Co-op to pick up a couple of funerals!

Sounds like the sort of thing that would cheer Dot up!

They don't come cheap, you know.

One of the funerals was Dot's own. The longer she lives the better value it will be.

So - a spare funeral in case she uses up the first?

I like it!

No, the first was her husband's. It seemed smart to book her own while she still had the money.
