We're working our way through the Atos form. Ailz can't use a pen (it hurts too much) so I'm doing the writing. I have to go very slowly because my normal handwriting is illegible and the only way I can make it legible is to print- which means treating every letter as a discreet entity. If I work at it for more than about ten minutes I start speeding up and joining the letters together- and then I have to stop- right there- and take a break before the script turns into a scrawl.

Ha, that form of writing is what got Ray declared illiterate at one point by the Job Centre.

You mean writing very carefully is a sign of illiteracy? Well I never.

No, writing too fast so they can't read it at a glance.

Now I'd have said that was a sign of being very literate. The more you write the more slapdash you're likely to be. Have these bureaucrats never met a doctor?

I don't see why the form should be anything more than "What is your bank account number", with a request to get your doctor to sign it and mail it in.
