A Sense Of Obligation

Ailz has felt obliged to go round to see her mother every morning this week. Dot works very hard to create that sense of obligation. I dropped by yesterday because Ruth was there and it was the only chance I'd have of seeing her for another month. When I'm with Dot I put up a force field to keep the negativity at bay.

We did have half-formulated plans to accompany Dot to Ireland towards the end of this year. Ailz said last night that she didn't think she wanted to any more. And I said I was sure I didn't.
