The Cure Of An Ill Is Not To Sit Still

The worst thing you can do when you're feeling miserable is nothing. I've just cheered myself up (a bit) by making a cottage pie.

Sounds deliciously therapeutic.

Yes, it was a good pie.

Feelings come and go. I had a miserable morning and a cheerful afternoon.

It's hard to go wrong with it, and I always enjoy it.

But what I grew up calling "cottage pie" my wife called "shepherd's pie". Do you know of any difference?

I think the difference is that shepherds pie is made with lamb or mutton and cottage pie is made with beef.

As something of an aside, that's where depression is so poisonous - nothing seems to have any real attraction, therefore, you wind up not doing anything, absent external influences. Such an easy trap to fall into, in such a condition.

And life is always better with good food, especially the result of one's own creativity. Life's too short for fast food.

We eat very little fast food these days.
