poliphiloWe watched the BBC's new Twilightish Philippa Gregory adaption as far as the first attempted rape, at which point my mother- who almost always sleeps through TV drama- woke up, laughed merrily as if to say, "You thought you could slip that past me, didn't you, you fools?"- and switched the TV off.

And little Richard has smoldering good looks, or appears to in the short glimpse we get of him. Yes, I think it will do. This period of history has been getting the "barest resemblance to history" treatment since Shakespeare and possibly before.
