A male dove is waddling around after a female dove- puffing out his chest and neck feathers and jumping in the air as if to say, "Look at me! See what a fine father I'd make for your chicks!"
I saw a male turkey doing a mating dance--really stomping it out and waggling his big fan ned tail--while he was surrounded by a group of perhaps a dozen turkey hens who were all acting like they were completely unimpressed by his antics. It was really hilarious to watch. I suspect that he may have been too exhausted to mate with any of them after that performance.
At our other apartment we had a fire escape outside the living room window. That spot was a prime courting place for pigeons. I got a lot of enjoyment watching the male pigeons strut their stuff for (mostly disinterested) female pigeons.
