I think UFOs are real but not entirely part of this reality. If they were they'd feature in it more- and we'd be getting stronger and solider evidence of their existence. What I'm inclined to believe is that they're an intrusion from a neighbouring reality- here to observe, monitor, maybe tweak things a bit. The possibility that the veil between the two realities is thinning out and may eventually fade away is not something I'd entirely discount.

I don't know about UFOs but I agree with you on the whole. I think there's stuff people don't understand, and as a result of not understanding are very zealous to dismiss, which zeal is rather unscientific.

I was reading an article about Lorna Byrne- the woman who sees angels- and the comments on it were hateful. Some people feel deeply threatened when their materialist world view is challenged.

Riding is an underrated poet, IMO. Too many people are put off by the fact that she was a category 1 bitch who shacked up with Robert Graves. None of that takes away from the fineness of her best writing.

Graves was an exceptionally silly man. I imagine he got on her nerves.

Oh, she was far sillier, but the force of her personality and her domineering nature (I think personally she suffered from Narcissistic Personality Disorder or something like) meant that Graves, and his acolytes, took her every word utterly seriously.

There was an incident where she jumped out a high window in a bout of attention seeking and he jumped out after her- because he couldn't live without her or something like that. She walked away unharmed and he broke both his ankles.

Actually, she was pretty badly injured. She couldn't walk for months and had to stay in hospital. It was touch and go for a while whether she would ever walk again.

That'll teach you to say "Goodbye chaps" and jump out of 4th floor windows.

Graves did get injured as you say but initially the police thought he'd pushed her out and nearly arrested him for attempted murder.

Perhaps these UFO's are from a different realm , a possible universe that is close by , parallel to our own universe. The idea of membranes containing two universes or more that can sometimes touch is a persuasive idea to me.

People see UFOs and even photograph them, so there's something there, but when you to try and ascertain what exactly it is you find- sooner or later- that the conversation moves from hard science into parapsychology, conspiracy theory and even spirituality.
