I want to eat the colors in this photo.

Autumnal light...mmmmm.

It's something about the hedgy browns and oranges... we don't get those here, not really. It's still bright green out.

There's still quite a lot of green here too- only not in Rocher Vale.

Lovely mix of veiled light and shadows.

Thank you.

I feel like I could touch the screen and feel the water running.
Beautiful light!

It looks so beautiful and tranquil there.

[identity profile] poliphilo.livejournal.com 2012-11-12 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
It is- a corridor of rurality between two sizeable towns.

[identity profile] michaleen.livejournal.com 2012-11-13 10:55 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly what I was thinking: it looks so delightfully rural but given the location cannot be. Lovely photos, as usual.

We live on the edge of the Pennines. 15 minutes up the road and you're into some seriously bleak countryside. This part of the world didn't get built on until the industrial revolution and the underlying wildness and witchiness still shows through in places. Lancashire has a dark heart.

[identity profile] michaleen.livejournal.com 2012-11-14 11:36 am (UTC)(link)
And I take it that dark heart is why you love Lancashire?

[identity profile] poliphilo.livejournal.com 2012-11-14 11:50 am (UTC)(link)
I guess.

Every place has its quiddity and the quiddity is usually lovable.

That's lovely!!

Thanks.
