After 30 Years

 We hadn't seen Joyce in something like 30 years. No problem. It could have been 30 minutes. We just carried on as we always have done. Friendship never ends (that's Yeats again) or as I said to her (and it's one of my favourite things to say) "Time is an illusion." 

She's been visiting Eastbourne with a bunch of "wrinklies" (her word)  on a coach holiday. Yesterday she spent the morning with us at the Meeting House. Our Quakers were lovely with her. They're a friendly crowd.

She's had good weather for it. Temperatures in the mid 20s.

Wow! 30 years…

I lost connection with many people I knew 30 years ago and I don’t know if I want to meet with them again^ but who knows?

Glad it went well! I am kind of like that with people too, happy to step back into how things were even if very many years back.

That's a wonderful thing.

I'll talk about it in my post but I watched the funeral of our childhood neighbor (the father of that family) and EldestSister and I agree we really have to make a plan to see the older daughter, who lives in DC, only a few hours away. I suspect it would be like that with her. Every time HCD and I go there it's for some purpose and we don't have much free time.
