Photo-Realist

I dreamed I was cycling home across Wales. My companion took the high road but I took the low road- and popped into a church in the village I was passing through. A service was just coming to an end. There I met a friend who was both a clergyman and one of the lesser known members of The Rolling Stones. He said he'd drive me the rest of the way home- and also give me the low-down on his feud with another lesser known member of the band....

I'm having problems with hotpot.ai. They owe me credits and aren't responding to emails. Last night I thought I'd try out some ofthe other companies that offer free use of their image generators- and, Lord, how they proliferate! I got the best results with Leonardo.ai- the only drawback being that they would only let me muck about in photo-realist mode. I gave them a prompt that was, basically, Oedipus meets the Sphinx- though not couched in those terms- and this was the image (of several they offered) that I liked best. The degree of realism is startling. That isn't Oedipus and that isn't a Sphinx, but It looks like a still from a movie I might enjoy watching...






This morning I mucked about some more and discovered that, even in photo-realist mode, AI generators have problems with hands and feet...

Today the Quaker Area Meeting is convening in Eastbourne. I am responsible for ensuring that the delegates get enough cake with their afternoon tea. We can expect about 30 of them and I think we've been promised enough cake to keep them happy, but if we run short one of the good things about being in a town is that there are shops...
