If Joe's car hadn't broken down on a slip road in Chadderton we wouldn't have found ourselves, after sorting him out, doing our weekend shopping at the Chadderton Morrisons and we wouldn't have run into a painter and decorator we know but had lost contact with and asked him to give us a quote on all the little jobs we've just decided we want to have done.

Sometimes life is as neat as a novel.
