Friction
Friction at the Meeting House. But I'm not going into details.
When you have an active membership/attendance of 20+ it may be inevitable that factions will form. I believe I've see studies in human behaviour that demonstrate this to be the case...
On a related tack: the characteristics that annoy us in other people are the characteristics we possess ourselves but would like to pretend we don't. I was at loggerheads yesterday with someone who is stubborn and arrogant. Am I stubborn and arrogant? O, yes.
And a bit of an elitist? That too, but I try very hard to keep it hidden.
Also I seem to be allergic to entitled, opinionated, powerful old ladies. Think Lady Catherine de Burgh. I'm not sure why, so it probably goes deeper than I'm happy to explore- but it could have something to do with my relationship with my mother....
