Allergy, New Queen, Life Between Lives

Coughing, hacking, wheezing. It's not covid because I've done a test. The most likely explanation is it's an allergic reaction to having the central heating on. Dry air irritating the mucous membranes or whatever...

I dreamed the Queen was going to give birth then die- because that's how things worked in this particular Kingdom. A group of us had assembled in one of the royal parks to hear the announcement. "It's a girl," said the messenger. "The most beautiful baby I've ever seen." We cheered. I punched the air then slapped my own wrist for allowing myself to be bounced into royalist sentiment. "But it's good it's another Queen," I said, "because that's what we're used to." "The new reign starts in three and a half days," said the messenger.

I'm rereading Michael Newton's books about Life between Lives. The first has been around now for about a quarter of a century. I've read a lot more on the subject in the years since but Newton's work remains definitive, I think.
