This Wasn't Thought Through

A young woman is abducted and murdered- and the man arrested for the crime is a serving officer in the Metropolitan police.

There is a gathering in her memory in a London Park- and it is broken up (because of covid regulations) by the Metropolitan police.

So, lets get this straight- a meeting that was part mourning ritual and part protest against male violence is suppressed using male violence- and by men belonging to the same outfit as the suspected murderer.

It's not a good look.

Also, while we're on the subject, jostling and grabbing and sitting on people seems an odd way to enforce social distancing.

"men physically manhandling women at a vigil against male violence".

Sounds about right doesn't it? :o(

I can't begin to describe how angry I am!
