Our neighbour at the big house has a husband in Hong Kong and a mother in Maryland- and has spent much of the year in quarantine. She rings up this morning- having just emerged from her latest fortnight of keeping to herself after a visit to the States- to say the large delivery of (mainly frozen) food we were expecting has appeared on her doorstop and she'll get her gardener to load it on his truck and bring it round...
